Mersey Rowing Club at Henley Women’s Regatta 2025

Laura and Jo flew the flag for Mersey Rowing Club at Henley Women’s Regatta, lining up in the Double Sculls (2x) against a field stacked with some of the very best clubs and athletes in the country.

After months of hard work, the crew came into the event with a string of 2k personal bests behind them, showing just how much progress they’ve made this season.

Their dedication on and off the water has been nothing short of inspiring, and they carried that same spirit into the time trial.

The draw was packed with world-class opposition, and although the result wasn’t quite what they had hoped for, Laura and Jo delivered a committed performance and gained invaluable experience racing at one of the most prestigious events in the rowing calendar.

Beyond the racing, the weekend was one to remember—highlighted by the chance to watch Olympic champion Imogen Grant in action on the Henley course.

Everyone at the club is incredibly proud of Laura and Jo for their hard work, their progress, and the way they represented Mersey at such a special regatta.
